Volunteer Tutor Informational Session
Are you looking for a way to make a meaningful impact in your community? Have you thought about tutoring but aren’t sure if it’s the right volunteer opportunity for you? Do you have questions about our program? Join us for a casual informational session to learn more about the Literacy Council and our volunteer opportunities. (Meeting held at Mead Public Library, Conference Room 2, 2nd Floor.)
The Literacy Council trains, matches, and supports volunteers as they work one-on-one with adult learners who wish to improve their reading, writing, or speaking skills. No teaching experience is necessary; the only requirements are a high school diploma and a desire to help.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and register for our next tutor training session, which will take place at the end of January.
Free; no need to register.
