DESCRIPTION:The Literacy Council needs volunteers to help our adult learners reach their reading\, writing\, and speaking goals. You do not need prior teaching experience to become a tutor – just a desire to help\, a high school diploma\, and 1-2 hours/week to give. We offer free training and will pair you with a compatible adult student. Volunteers must attend both nights of training\, which will be held October 23 and 26\, from 5:15-7:45 pm. DESCRIPTION:Tired of the same old commute? Put the pedal to the metal and hitch a ride with your little one to the (indoor) drive-in excursion of the year! You and your child will create a stellar cardboard vehicle\, dine on popcorn\, drink hot chocolate and watch a short movie in the comfort of their new ride! We’ll supply all the materials needed for their drive-in experience. So\, buckle up and cruise on over! \nSuggested for 2-4 year olds. Parking spots are limited to 20 children.
